Cairoli

Fabio Cairoli

President and CEO of Lottomatica Holding S.r.l.

He joined the company in 2012 as SVP Business Division and later as General Manager, and finally became CEO for the Italy Region of IGT PLC. Since 2014 he has been a member of the Executive Committee of the World Lotteries Association and since 2015 has been on the Executive Committee of European Lotteries.
He has a 25 years experience in the consumer goods industry for leading multinational companies, where held responsabilities both nationally and internationally. He was the Group General Manager and member of the Board of Directors of Bialetti Industrie, where he was in charge of the company’s reorganization and restructuring plan, focusing on market strategy and the industrial model. Before joining Bialetti, he was General Manager of Star Alimentare S.p.A., one of the most important Italian food companies, successfully reviving the historic brand.
In addition, he has been Managing Director of Julius Meinl Italy S.p.A. and Director of Marketing & Sales for Motorola Mobile Devices Italy.
He has been Marketing Director at Kraft Foods, where he held various positions for 10 years in Italy and at the European Headquarters in Britain.
Cairoli has a degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Milan.
Philippe Blanc

Philippe Blanc

Senior Vice President of Finance & Control Italy and Customer Service

Blanc is in charge of Administration, Planning and Control, Tax, Purchasing, Logistics, Sales Management, Credit Management and Contact Centers for all businesses in Italy. In this position he assists top management in strategic and operational decisions with the aim of increasing the value of the business with a focus generating cash in the long term. In the policies of the group, he ensures the contribution of the Tax and Administration and Budget Departments to the Italian business through proper coordination, heading Italian M & A activities and ensuring the evaluation and monitoring of related investments in Italy. Since late 2014, he has also ensured the effectiveness and efficiency of "Customer Services" in support of the Italian business, by contributing to the introduction of innovative approaches, high quality standards and streamlined, measurable processes.
He is also CEO of Cartalis (Imel), President of the National Lottery S.p.A, LIS S.p.A., PCC Giochi e Servizi (Games and Services) S.p.A., Technology and Press Security S.r.l., a member of Lottomatica Holding Council, LottoItalia S.r.l., SED MULTITEL S.r.l.. Prior to the acquisition beginning in 2010, Blanc served as CFO Italy of GTECH S.p.A. (Formerly known as Lottomatica). For Italy, Blanc is Appointed Director SCIGR (Systems of Internal Controls and Risk Management).
From 1995 to 2010, Blanc worked for the Italian State Railways, where he held various positions of increasing responsibility in finance, strategic planning and operational control, and investments in transportation until 2006. Having led various Joint Ventures with European railways, in 2006 he took over direct responsibility of business and international sales of passenger transport. Finally, in 2008, he became Senior Vice Chairman of "Long Distance" Passengers for Egyptian National Railways. This position was part of an Italy-Egypt cooperation agreement to support the ''Egyptian National Railways Transformation Program".
From 1990 to 1995, he was senior manager consultant at Coopers & Lybrand; as a consultant he led several missions of systems organization/revision in support of operational processes. Previously, he was with Alitalia for one year in Organization and started his career in 1986 in France in the sales department of an IT company (Bull France).
Blanc, European Engineer (EUR-ING), has a degree in Engineering from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Pétroles et des Moteurs French Petroleum Institute (ReuilMalmaison-France) and holds a master's degree in IT Management from the Research Center in Management in Sophia Antipolis (France). He was a Naval Officer (military service in France).

Senior Vice President of Compliance and Risk Management

Luigi Concordia joined Lottomatica in 2015 as SVP for Compliance and Risk Management after a long and proven Financial and Banking experience. For BNL S.p.A. he held various positions as Financial Director, specializing in risk management, financial security and regulatory compliance. Over the years his job has been characterized by an international calling: New York, Buenos Aires, Madrid, London are the cities where he lived and worked throughout his career. In Rome, he ended his banking experience as Financial Security Director in the Compliance Division of BNP Paribas Group. After graduating with honours in Economics and Business from University of Bari, Luigi gained experience in Advisory and attended many seminars organized by major multinational management consulting firms.

Vice President & Assistant General Counsel

As Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, Primiano De Maria is in charge of legal support to Lottomatica’s businesses and operations in Italy.
De Maria joined Lottomatica in 2010, taking on assignments with increasing responsibility and became lead of the legal department in 2016.
After an initial period of professional practice, he began his in-house legal career by providing legal advice on large strategic infrastructure, first as part of the Legal Departments of TAV Treno Alta Velocità (High-Speed Train) S.p.A. and Ferrovie dello Stato (State Railways) S.p.A., in which he oversaw tenders and contracts for the construction of sections of the High Speed/High Capacity Railway, and later in Autostrade per L’Italia (Italian motorways) S.p.A., dealing with the construction of the Variante di Valico (Valico bypass).
An expert in administrative law (concessions, procurement and project financing) and commercial law, he has published numerous articles in the field of public contracts and is co-author of a commentary on the Implementing Regulations of the Procurement Code.
Primiano De Maria has a degree in Law from “La Sapienza” University in Rome, he was admitted to the Bar in Rome in 2013, before specializing in Economic Criminal Law at the same university.
Giuliano Frosini

Senior Vice President Institutional Relations, Public Affairs and Media Communication

An electrical engineer, he is in charge of maintaining institutional and regulatory relations. Previously, he worked for Terna, the electricity transmission operator, where he served as director of public and regulatory affairs. Earlier he held the same role in GTech. He was also engaged in public administration, covering various positions in offices of direct collaboration with Ministers, Local Authorities and Sviluppo Italia (Development in Italy), the National Agency for investment promotion and business development.
Marzia Mastrogiacomo

Marzia Mastrogiacomo

Senior Vice President Lotteries at Lottomatica S.p.A.

As Senior Vice President of Lotteries for Lottomatica S.p.A., Marzia Mastrogiacomo is in charge of strategies, development, operations, marketing and profit-and-loss for Lotto and instant Lottery ticket businesses. With Lottomatica since 2006, Mastrogiacomo has over 10 years experience in the world of lotteries.
From 2007 to 2012 she was business manager for Gratta e Vinci (Scratch tickets), which had become the biggest lottery in the world, and for which the concession was renewed in 2010. In the following years she was business manager for Lotto, developing potential through product innovation and processes, leading the company to renew the concession in 2016.
Before Lottomatica, from 2003 to 2006 Mastrogiacomo was Director of Strategic Marketing and Business Development for retail market services with Poste Italiane (Italian Post) S.p.A., where she directed the development of innovative public services built by leveraging the different corporate assets.
From 2000 to 2003 she worked at Diners Club – Citigroup, both as Head of Marketing in Italy and as Marketing Director for Europe, in particular by coordinating activities of strategy and product development for the Business Cards and Individuals markets in 7 countries. Ms. Mastrogiacomo began her career at Procter & Gamble, where she spent five years in various positions in Marketing and Market research departments, working with such brands as Olay, Max Factor and Infasil. Ms. Mastrogiacomo has a degree in Statistical and Actuarial Sciences from “La Sapienza” University in Rome.
Alessandro Merlino

Senior Vice President Human Resources & Organizational Development

In July 2015 Alessandro joined the Lottomatica Group as Senior Vice President for Human Resources & Organizational Development, in charge of the management of all key Human Resources processes.
Throughout his professional experience, before joining Lottomatica, Alessandro held various positions of increasing responsibility in HR, in several multinational companies.
Over the last 11 years, he has gained extensive and consolidated knowledge in highly-regulated markets. From 2006 to 2015 he was Director of Human Resources at Bristol Myers Squibb. In this role he was both a member of the Regional HR Leadership team for EMEA and the European Working Council, partecipating in European Projects on Change Management, Project and Performance Management, where he was an active leader.
From 1988 to 2006, Alessandro worked for Johnson & Johnson. His final assignement was as Italy & EMEA HR Director Italy HR Director (Commercial & Operations) and Member of the Regional Demand Fulfillment Leadership team for Johnson & Johnson Consumer manufacturing Europe.
Alessandro has a MA degree in Law from the La Sapienza University of Rome and touched off his business education by completing an MBA from Tor Vergata University of Rome.

Alessandro Paciucci

Senior Vice President for Gaming Machines

As Senior Vice President for Gaming Machines for Lottomatica S.p.A. he is in charge of strategy, innovation, trade agreements, marketing plans, revenue, costs and business investments of Gaming Machines, AWP and VLT, and IGT Italy Gaming Machines Solutions. Paciucci joined the Company in 2010, and over the years has held various positions, from 2010 to 2012 as Lotto Director and in 2012-2014 SVP of Lotto and Lotteries, the core businesses in the Italian market. In both positions, he was in charge of product development, marketing and delivery.
Prior to joining Lottomatica S.p.A, Paciucci was Premium Brands Marketing Manager at SABMiller Italy, Birra Peroni in Rome; in this position he was in charge of strategy, innovation and marketing plans for leading brands (Nastro Azzurro, Miller, Pilsner Urquell, Grolsch).
From 1996 to 2008, he worked for Colgate Palmolive, where he held various positions of increasing responsibility in marketing; his latest was Category Marketing Manager - Home Care.
Paciucci has a degree in chemical engineering from “La Sapienza” University of Rome and earned an MBA from SDA Bocconi in Milan.
Roberto Saracino

Roberto Saracino

Senior Vice President of CTO in Lottomatica S.p.A

Since July 2016, Roberto Saracino has been Senior Vice President of CTO Lottomatica S.p.A.
Before Lottomatica, from 2012 to 2016, he was in charge of Corporate Development Information Systems and IT Coordination for Italian Post Office Group companies and previously served as Chief Information Officer of Postel.
He was previously at AlmavivA, as Chief Information Officer in charge of strategic direction for the company’s technology systems and providing technological and development services for the Group.
In addition, he worked at Unicredit, first as Head of Infrastructure Architectures to define ICT infrastructure strategies for the Unicredit Group, and later as Chief Security Officer of Unicredit Global Information Services and Staff Group CIO for ICT security issues for the entire Group.
At Lottomatica he is Director of Operations, Architectures and ICT Security in IT Management and CEO of Lottomatica Group SED Multitel, with which he obtained the O.L.O. license (Other Licensed Operators). During his tenure at Lottomatica he has also been Chairman of the in-house committee for some European public tenders.
Saracino previously held various positions of IT responsibility in the Telecom Italia Group.
Saracino completed a degree in Computer Science in 2007/2008, and collaborates with the University of Milano-Bicocca during courses in "telecommunications services", "telecommunications systems" and "Next Generation Data Centers".
